Skills Matrix

Dears,

I was wondering what was the easiet way of creating a Skill Matrix?
what I mean is, we have resources that have several skills, and I want to
rate their skills from 0-10.
The long version solution is to created a look up with all the skills, and
then on each skill created a 2nd level (0-10) !

But I am sure there must be an easier way of doing this

Thanks

The approach you identified is probably the best one I can think of, although
it's a bit annoying to key it in. Note that you can copy/paste from Excel
into the Lookup Table interface.

I'd point out that the administrative overhead in maintaining a matrix like
this is often quite extreme, and many companies drop the use of a detailed
skills matrix in the course of their EPM implementation - while some other
companies maintain it.

Dear Andrew,

Thats exactly thr reason why I don't want to do it this way.
What I did was, to create an excel sheet that memics the resource view from
EPM and enter the skills as skills.grade (ie SQL.7) since (.) means 2nd level.
This way, you can update the excel sheet and paste it into EPM resource
sheet view minimizing the admin overhead just a little bit :)
