SKills

I have set up 6 skill fields in the enterprise resource
field. I have coded up every resource to the number of
skills they belong to. I have checked all 6 fields to
match generic resources. However, when i run a match it
only takes into cnsideration the first skil. Anyone know
what the answer is?
thx

JB:

Skill matching is exact match only. Therefore, to match a generic to an
actual resource, both must have exactly the same value for all six fields in
order for a match to occur.

JB:

My suggestion is to use a single code field to match resources by role. For
example, an IT dept might have:

Business Analyst
Developer
Quality Analyst

Use this field to slice the pool down to a role, then use the other skill
fields you create to apply filters to narrow the selection further. Unless
you're looking for resources across a vast number of disparately located
resource, I believe that this is the most effective way to use this feature.
By the way, the multi-value outline codes in Project Server 2003 make this
much more effective.
