Skip Numbering bug

Does anyone have an issue with Skip Numbering (applying) command - it does
not skip the number? Is this a bug in Word 2010?

I'm not using Word 2010, but if the command is anything like the
corresponding one in Word 2007, then it doesn't behave as one would expect.
It advances numbering by adding extra numbered paragraphs.

Stefan for me in 2010 it does nothing. You press it or use a shortcut to
invoke it and it just does "nothing". Apparently other people say 2007 same
thing.

Of course for those who need it they can press backspace and that does the
trick. So perhaps it is obsolete just name only presence!

My styles don't really need it as they have paragraph indents automatically
for bodytext only at different levels.

Thanks Stefan.

Applying an unnumbered style to the paragraph where numbering should be
suppressed would also work of course. :)
