skipping page numbers

Hey guys,

This has probably been asked before, but I have been unable to find an
answer.

I'm trying to make word skip a few pages, leaving them without numbers

i.e 1, 2, 3, b, 5, 6, 7, b, 9, 10, 11, b, b, 14 where b means that
the page number is counted but not shown.

I've been playing with different versions of { IF {PAGE} = 4,8,12,13
"" "{PAGE}" } which doesn't work of course, but I haven't been able to
find a way to compare against a group of numbers.

Any ideas?

One approach:

Assuming that the page numbers you want to skip correspond to logical
breaks in your text, you can use a Section Break (preferably Next Page)
before and after the sections to be skipped. In those Sections, Unlink
the Headers and Footers from the previous section (and unlink the
following section), and then delete the page number in that section's
footer only. Use the Format Page Number icon on the header/footer
toolbar to make sure the numbering continues from the previous section,
so that the pages are counted.
