SKU112.CAB Problem Solved!

S

Squidward

I unwittingly deleted the installation files for MS Office using the Disk
Cleanup Utility and that's when the trouble started. It wouldn't recognize
the CD, wouldn't update and kept telling about the darn SKU112.CAB file. Why
does it ask you to do something that will cause so much trouble!

Here's what you do:

Go to http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA011402361033.aspx.
Read the page and then download the LISTool.exe.
If the Office cd won't work/read, copy all the files to a network drive.
Run LISTool.exe and enable MSO Cache.
When LISTool asks where the files are, browse for the copied files.
Once this task has been completed, SKU112.cab will be back where it belongs.

You should then be able to update MS Office without any more trouble from
SKU112.
