Slide and Layout masters

Still trying to get used to 2007. I am having way too many problems with my
slide and layout masters. The thumbnails do not come up... The Title &
Content layout has no title & content... There are too many slide masters
and some of them I cannot modify... In the current presentation I am working
on, somehow I used different slide masters and that is making things
difficult. Pages are formatted differently. Having trouble adding page
numbers, had to insert them 2 different ways and now I have two different
styles of page numbers. I probably can reformat them but shouldn't have to
go thru the extra steps. How do I use one slide master for every page? All
the different options, masters, layouts are confusing, for me anyway!! Any
suggestions??

Wow, you have so many questions, I don't know where to begin.

Here's a bit of an explanation of masters and layouts. Maybe it will help
get you started.

As for this:

Content layout has no title & content...

Could you clarify what you mean there? Remember, we can't see your screen,
so it's hard to tell what you're describing there.
In the current presentation I am working
on, somehow I used different slide masters and that is making things
difficult.

You can apply a different slide layout based on a different slide master by
going to the Home tab and clicking the Layout tab. Scroll to the appropriate
master's set of slide layouts and click the layout you want. The master is
by a grey-ish bar and the master name when that section of layouts begins.

If you want to apply that master/layout to multiple slides, select those
slides in the thumbnail pane on the left or in slide sorter view before
applying the master/layout.

Page numbers are a different story.
