Slide Layout Pane Blank

I'm using PowerPoint 2003, and every time I insert a new slide, the
slide layout choices on the right side of the screen are all blank. I
made a screenshot of the problem, linked below:

Is there anything I can do to restore the layouts, short of
reinstalling Office? Thanks in advance!

Make sure that you have all the updates to your PowerPoint 2003

As Michael said, plus if after installing the updates,the problem persists,
try ...

Downloading the most current driver for your video card and printer
Downloading the most current version of DirectX from Microsoft
And lastly, stepping the video hardware acceleration down a step at a time.

Post back if these do not solve the problem.
