I'm working in Word 2007 with a .docx, and using Paste Special to link in
slides from PPT 2007 with a .pptx, yet both documents have 2003 templates. In
the Links dialog box, it will show the slides as being linked and locked.
Then, if I send the document to a coworker, it shows the Type of file as
Powerpoint.Slide.8, and unlocks it. It also shows the Link Type as 2003.
We've tried several different scenarios, including using 2007 templates, but
we still get the same problem with the links not working anymore. I'm pretty
sure it's not related to the templates, and the fact that the Link Type isn't
changing. I'm guessing that's a setting in Word? Any help would be
appreciated. TIA!
