Slide show hanging/pausing/stopping

Hello all

I have a presentation that is hanging and from time to time the mouse/cursor
will not respond.I am using win xp professional version 5.1 and the show was
created on this machine....
is that enough info?? The presentation has a number of musical links to the
CD. Somebody mentioned in another forum that perhaps my anti virus prog
(Symantec) might be conflicting. Is this a posiibility?

I keep having to esc and restart show from current slide or right clcik and
advance to slide. This solves the problem but it is not a great solution.
