Slide Show

if you don't have too many use the photogallery in FP, if you have a lot or want to do something fancy (or have more control over the outcome) use a third party...scroll down and read previous msgs from the last few days..you'll see some msgs regarding third party stuff.

| Is there a way to do a auto slide show, or that a third party program?

I really like using Photoshop Element's slideshow generator. The resulting
file is a .pdf and just about everyone has Acrobate Reader installed on
their computer. That's extremely helpful if your target audience isn't real
computer-literate.

in Photoshop cs there are script settings for the PDF. you can specify that
the selected thumbnails be arranged in a "presentation" PDF and when the
browser opens the PDF it goes full screen with transitions. it's very
limited in "full auto" mode and I have to figure out how to modify it.
It's unusual to open a PDF and get that type of behavior.

You can save a PowerPoint slide show as an html slide show presentation.

shows you how much I use it. I'm planning to look at it again as some people
have asked me about converting pp files into flash.
I've got pp, I've got flash, I don't know if I've got the patience or spare
brain cells. ;-)

thing is, that after you spend time doing all that it would probably be a pain to add/delete/edit the album.

But Photoshop Elements cost MUCH less than full blown Photoshop CS and does
everything I need and then some.

Plus,
I don't think it works unless you've got both Photoshop cs and acrobat 6
Pro!
still, it's pretty cool. ;-)

Thomas,
thanks for the producer link. that looks pretty promising. I'll have to
look into it when I can get some time to think. ;-)
I only have pp 2000 so I'll have to look at how that'll work. I suppose I
could upgrade.
I've been buying so much software lately that the last piece will be
obsolete before I finish learning the first!
