Slide Show

Greg

I typed that into FrontPage help and got Japanese language info...

I have a page on my site listed as News. I'd like to do a Week in Pictures
and incorporate a Slide Show ( pictures that change in the box/frame/square)
how do I do that?

Thanks,

Greg

Adobe Photoshop Album, which is free to download, will also do a slide
show... if you don't want JavaScripts. I've never tried it yet so I can't
tell you how well it works. I plan to test it myself in a test website...
with in the next few days.

Now I tried it but it seems that the only option, using Adobe Photoshop
Album, is to export it as a PDF file. Not sure if there is another way....
if so let me know. I don't like the PDF idea because the user has to wait
for a separate file to open on their computer for it to run.

It works fine, but creates lots of little pieces.
Just remember to Import the created album (best if you create it to a folder
then Import the folder) into FP.

Yes I tried that but the slide show no longer works once you save the PDF as
an html.
Your right it is goofy.

Early, when I said it saves to a PDF, I was not talking about PhotoShop, I
was talking about PhotoShop Album. I have both. Your right PhotoShop has
much more flexibility and will work. Most folks don't have Photoshop so I
did not bother to mention it. I only mentioned PhotoShop Album because it
is a free download. It is the PSA that only exports it to a PDF.. which is
not very usable for a webpage. I used Adobe Acrobat Professional to convert
to HTML... which lost everything.

ps...
you can also save a PDF slide show as html...but it's kinda goofy IMO. I've
experimented with it but thats about all.

As long as a user has Adobe PDF Reader installed, they can view the PhotoShop Album.

I've found a PDF done completely in landscape orientation, rigged to open
"kiosk" or full screen mode is a good replacement/ augmentation for a
PowerPoint, in that it can be used in a presentation or put right on the
web. you can set the page delays and even add transitions (which are all
pretty weak). when I get the time I'm going to look into the ability to
embed video into a PDF.
