Slide switches before sound file ends?

Hello,

I have a presentation of 44 slides. The next to the last
slide(43)has voice over mixed with music. The last slide
(44)is simply one that says THE END.

For some reason slide 43 wants to go to the last slide
(44) before the music fades out. I've checked settings
but I must be missing something???? When I just click the
sound icon the entire sound file will play but not when
doing Slide Show???

Any thoughts?

What are the settings (all of them) and what version of PowerPoint are you
using?
