slide transition effect

How do i get additional slide transition effect? i notice that there are
additional effects in other version of powepoint

The additional effects you speak of come in PPT 2002 or 2003 versions only.
You will need to upgrade.

Upgrade.

Some new transitions were added in PPT 2002 (aka PPT XP), and those are
still available in PPT 2003.

The only other transitions I'm aware of are from Crystal Graphics, but be
aware that you have to install the Crystal Graphics plug-in on all computers
showing the presentation. http://www.crystalgraphics.com/
