SLide transition sounds

I'm using powerpoint 2003 on my laptop (compaq tablet). When i try to insert
sound effects after each slide, e,g, applause, it says the feature is not
installed. I dont have the software disk anymore. is there any way i can
rectify this, for my presentation in 3 days' time? HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

I'm guessing that it says

"e,g, applause, it says the feature is not installed. I dont have the
software disk anymore"

it's because powerpoint is trying to find the applause sound file. It cannot
find it.

When the software was installed, there are various options of what to
"install" or "install later". My guess is that the sounds were not
installed....

your options are to
- try and find some sounds on your computer
- search the net for copyright free clips
- find the original cd
