Slides automatically transitioning

Several of our presenters are complaining that power point is automatically
jumping to the next slide. It appears to be random; that is some slides do,
and it isn't always the same slide. The presenter is not holding the mouse so
it isn't an accidental click. What could be the cause?

If it is not associcated with specific slides, my guess is that it is a
hardware error, probably the remote mouse that you use. What happens if you
turn off Advance on Click in the Slide Transition for all the slides? With
that, you can use the keyboard, but not a mouse-click to advance. If that
fixes it, it is probably a hardware error.

If you are using a remote mouse/pointer, you might also want to check that
multiple remote mice are not in use within the same range - like in
side-by-side conference rooms, etc. They might be interfering with each
other with the persenter in the other room also experiencing automatic jump
to next slide randomly.

Just a thought...

I've discovered this on some slides once. It turns out that somehow
somewhere along the line, timed transitions had been placed on the slides,
such that some slides would jump to the next slide after a couple seconds, or
would even skip slides. To check to see if this is what you're experiencing,
go to the Slide Sorter view and see if you have little timers above any of
the windows. If so, you'll need to turn these off by right-clicking on the
affected slide, click on "slide transition," and un-checking "Advance slide
automatically after...". If multiple slides are affected, you can also click
the button "Apply to All Slides." Hopefully this helps...
