Slides transitioning on their own in powerpoint 2003

B

Bradley

I am using powerpoint 2003 to make a jeopardy game for my students. I've got
it all set up and I can click on the points in the first slide and it will go
to the corresponing question using the action settings, and visa versa, I
have a bitton on my the answer page that takes me back to the first slide.
However, when in the slide show, when I try to transition back to the first
slide, it takes me there then it transitions to the second slide on its own
without any clicking on cues. And it's not always consistant with how long
it takes to do this, sometimes a second or 2, sometimes as many as 10-15.
I've noticed that It seems to do this whenever I move the mouse on time slide
to select another question. Why is it doing this?

Check your transition settings (Slide Show | Slide Transition). You want to
uncheck Automatically After. You might want to uncheck On Mouse Click as
well to prevent moving to the next slide if you miss clicking your trigger /
hyperlinked object.

Still having an issue. Automatically after wasnt checked so I unchecked On
Mouse Click and ran the slide show and it was still transitioning on its
own....

Wow, that's weird. Have you updated your mouse drivers?

You didn't set the links up to "on mouse over," did you? That's in Action
Settings....

Drivers are updated, and my links are all on the click on instead of mouse
over. And it always transitions to the second slide in the show... It's
driving me crazy.

I GOT IT! There was one random points value which for some reason had a
click on action as well as a mouse over action.

THANK YOU!
