Slideshow image display size question / problem

Some of us photographic types want to make PP slideshows of images, but
we want them to appear full-screen so we save them as a 1024 x 768 JPG.
However, when they are inserted into a PP slide, it decides (despite
using 1024 x 768 as the slideshow resolution) that they should be
640x480 e.g. there is a big wide border round them, instead of them
filling the whole screen when the show is maximised.

I've hunted around and cannot see what the answer is - what we want is
to be able to create a template which can be used for any of this kind
of show.

If anyone can help we'd be most appreciative... :)

My guess is you're inserting into a text box. Use slide design to create a
blank slide and try that.

Hi

I did use the blank slide from the 'Content Layouts' section. If I
right-click the image (put on using Insert, Picture, From File) and
select Format Picture, in the Size tab is an unticked box 'Best scale
for slide show' which contains 640x480. What I need to know is how to
make that default to 1024x768 - or indeed any of the other options in
it's dropdown.

Sorry on my computer inserting a 1024 x768 give a slide slightly larger than
the slide holder. I have the best scale un ticked too. Have you thought of
using insert picture . photo album. That will scale your pics to full slide
(choose fit to slide)

This works! Had to check the help to find out how to add more pictures
afterwards, and initially it has a title slide that might not be
wanted, but it's the busness.

Many thanks. I shall pass the information on.

Ah. My friend wanting to do the same thing is using a Mac, and in the
version he has (sorry don't know at present which it is) the 'File'
dropdown only lists 'New Presentation' and apparently he just gets an
empty presentation, where as mine (PP 2003) opens a panel on the RHS
headed 'New Presentation' and 'Photo Album' is one of the choices.

Any ideas, folks? This is *so* frustrating for both of us...
