slow opening emails

my pc is becoming slow at opening the preview pane and
even if i open it by double clicking the email. it takes
around 20 seconds to open up each email. thes emails are
normal text and with no pictures or attachments. im
wondering is there something i can clear out that will
make it fast again. ive already deleted emails from all
my folders that i dont need and also deleted from deleted
items so theres only a few emails there to process.

im wondering if someone knows the cause of this
