slow performance opening 150 task project file

I'm concerned that a realatively small project file--150
tasks takes 60 minutes to open on a P4 1.8Ghz machine with
512 k ram.
Project serve is installed on a dedicated server along
with STS. The server and installation are new and there
are less than 10 team members using it.
Could this be a bandwidth issue as project server is
installed at our remote site?

Scott:

Most likely a bandwidth issue. Project is not designed to articulate to
Server across high-latency or low-bandwidth networks. Use terminal services
to provide this type of access and great user experience.
