slow responce from network

Joel

I've split my data base with the tables on the network
and forms on local stations. I'm running Novell small
business 6.5 with a cisco switch.

Everytime we load the main form it sits for 30 to 45
seconds before opening. Before I split the database it
worked fine.

Any suggestions why now it takes so long to load?

The three most common performance problems in Access 2000 or newer
are:
- LDB locking which a persistent recordset connection or an always
open bound form corrects (multiple users)
- sub datasheet Name property set to [Auto] should be [None]
- Track name AutoCorrect should be off

If the problem is for everyone when starting up the MDB then it likely
needs a decompile.
