Slow response filling out form

We have an InfoPath template that was published in SharePoint. When someone
tries to fill out a form using this template the response time is extremely
slow. Even if the new form is saved in a non-SharePoint location the
response time when filling out the form is very bad. The user can type
information but then must wait 20-30 seconds for the results to show up.
(They are typing "blind.") Is there anything we should look at or can tweak
to perhaps improve this excruciatingly slow response? Thanks.

I'm experiencing this problem too, however, my delay times are in minutes.
Our company recently upgrated from IE 6 to IE 7. I got one XP station to
work but I'm not sure what resolved the problem. I enabled scripting in the
internet zone and then disabled it since it did not appear to work. I
downloaded and applied all possible XP and Office updates. Maybe the patches
took care of the problem. ???

We already have IE7 and all possible updates. Still stumped. Was beginning
to think no one had this problem except us. Thanks for the response.
