I have Word XP installed as part of an MS Works suite that came with my
computer. OS is XP Home. I have also installed Excel, Powerpoint, and
Access from Office 97. Had the machine for almost a year now, and
everything was working just fine. In the past couple of weeks, however,
I have been getting an hourglass cursor for maybe 10-15 seconds very
frequently when working in Word. I am not using it on real large files
or anything. In fact, I noticed it first when working on a document
which is just a table of about two dozen names, addresses, phone
numbers, etc. Very annoying. If anyone has any suggestions on what
might be causing this............
