Slow response time

In December 2003 I performed a Windows Security Update
(Security Update for Windows XP (KB810217)). Ever since,
Outlook responds very slowly when I browse between
emails, move emails to different folders, create a new
message. Any suggestions?

Turn off Instant Messaging under Tools->Options->Other.
