Slow "Save As" Office 2003

Ok. I see from the other posts that this is caused by drive mappings that
are disconnected, and thanks to those of you that posted this.

My question is, does anyone know if MS is going to fix this? Since it only
seems to happen in the Office applications I would assume it is a bug in
Office 2003, considering applications like Notepad or Wordpad DO NOT have
this problem on the same machine.

I tried Service Pack 1 for 2003 and this did not resolve my problem.
