Slow startup & file loading

All of a sudden Thursday, 2 machines on our Windows XP network bega
having problems with Word 9.0 & Word XP loading very slow an
retrieving files very slow..........We share files and in the past
nothing has been a problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled 9.0 on m
machine and it still does the same thing. Any ideas

After reading more about the similar problems, I really think the issue
is the second one I listed. People mentioned turning off the office
plug-in for Norton, but it's just too much of a coincidence for all
these problems to be occurring at the same time that the Verisign SSL
certificate expired (1-7-04).
