Slow task update within WSS

Hi

I'm using WSS with Project Server 2003, and it usually works fine. One
exception is when I create a new task in a project, and want to assign a
document to this new task (using PWA>Documents). The problem is that the new
task is usually not displayed in the "link to tasks" window instantly, and I
have to wait up to 5 minutes for it to show up. This is very annoying since
I use linked documents all the time.

The task is published and I've also tried to close the project within
Project to ensure nothing is checked out in some way.

Does anyone know how to "speed up" this process?
