I have a strange situation in my office. When I access Office documents
(Word or Excel) located on a networked computer from my computer it appears
as if every keystroke is sent over the network to the computer where the
document resides. Network traffic is heavy and perfomance is so slow that it
is almost unusable. If I reverse the process and access a document on my
computer from another everything works as expected.
This just started happening last week. I have checked for a virus but found
nothing. I am also getting messages about the normal.dot template and both
word and excel have shut down on their own several times.
I'd really like some suggestions on where to look
