Slowdown Opening a Word or Excel document from Outlook 2007

MS Tech Support:
Slowdown Opening a Word or Excel document from Outlook 2007: When I double
click on a Word/Excel doc in an email message, or in Explorer it can take
15-30 seconds for the file to open. It is driving me crazy. If I save
attachment, open Word/Excel, and then thru Word/Excel open the file, then it
is okay. But I get so many attachments I can't do this all the time. How
can I fix this? Most people are sending me either 2003 or 2007 formatted
files, but it shouldn't matter. Any ideas? The same thing is happening with
Excel too.
