Slowly Worsening Outlook 07 Program

(Sigh) Why can't this program just work like it's supposed to?! Here we go:
-Problems started in June when I tried to insert a picture in a
contact...and Outlook promptly crashed completly time after time, until I
gave up and haven't tried since. Ok...after paying so much for this
program...I'm miffed, but realize life will go on.
-In July my appointment reminders started to show up in duplicate, but
heck...another brick in the wall & we'll just ignore it.
-August brings HTML (yes, all settings confirm I want to receive email as
HTML) emails all of a sudden without the embedded pictures from eBay,
Cabelas, Best Buy etc...only the icon with the three colored thingies is
displayed, and by right clicking on them only brings up the 'Copy' command.
Ok, enough is enough...I run the joke "Repair" option on the Outlook 2007
disk and it resolves NOTHING!
-Now it's September, and I've got problems: Outlook hangs forever when
opening email, won't forward emails, somehow forces Windows to open in 'Safe'
mode, and is almost totaly unusable.
--My question is: instead of screwing around tinkering with this file, that
file, then another file can I just save the important data/contact/email
directories and uninstall the whole damn mess, then re=install it? Thanks for
your info!

Uninstall/Reinstall rarely cures a problem
Have you run an Outlook repair?
Run scanpst.exe on your data file?

Diane,
I did upgrade, but it was at least 10 months ago and it has worked
well for most of that time...but, I have been syncing with a smartphone since
April...what should I do next? Thanks, Dennis

did you upgrade from a previous version of outlook? if so, make a new
profile.
