Sluggish computer

All of a sudden, my computer boots up slow and when opening applications,
everything takes forever to open up, and documents are freezing up on me,
as well as emails. How can I fix this? I downloaded the Office Standard
Edition Trial 2003 version several weeks ago. Can this be causing the
problem?

If the problem has only just started, and you loaded the trial Office 2003
weeks ago, it is hardly likely that Office is the problem.. more likely that
you have instances of spyware/scumware on your computer..

Download and run the following programs.. don't forget to update them..

SPYBOT 1.3 download.. http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html

AdawareSE.. http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/

Spyware Blaster.. http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/

Then report back to this same thread with the results..

I also loaded a trial version of Office 2003 but all all it did was take over
the computer. Get rid of it.
