Smart Art Graphics

Is there a way of preventing each shape within a graphic automatically
re-sizing when another shape is adjusted? I'm using a Process Chart, but
want to pull it about a bit so that each stage is a different size, but each
time I try, all the other items are automatically re-shaped.

Don't think it's possible, but I maybe wrong.
One way you might want to try out would be to hold down shift key, then
select all the shapes in the SmartArt.
Do a Ctrl-C to make a copy.
Drag the SmartArt away from the slide (do not delete it, keep it as a backup).
Then finally, do a Ctrl-V to paste it as individual shapes which allows you
to resize them individually.
