Problem: How to remove background rectangle in hierarchy

Office 2007 SP1
XP Pro SP3

I use Smart Art to create a Hierarchy.
Each box of the hierarchy consists of a rectangle and a separate background
rectangle.
I want each box of the hierarchy to be a single rectangle so I don't waste a
lot of printer ink.
Therefore, I do not want the separate background rectangle there.
I cannot find an easy setting which will remove the background rectangles.
