=smtp: attached to email address of all sent messages

I have "=smtp:" attached to (preceeding) the email address of all sent
messages. This causes rejection by the remote mail server and, thus I am
unable to complete the transmission of my email messages. I have Windows
2000 and Outlook 2K.
I do not know this has happened. Everything was working fine untill today.

What kind of e-mail account(s) do you use/connect to?
What add-ins/antivirus/antispam software do you use?

Are both Office & Windows fully patched with all SPs and critical updates?
