Snitz upload confusion

Hi,
I am having trouble understanding on how to upload a Snitz forum with
Frontpage 2002. When I follow the instructions(snitz), it tells me to
upload the files to the server. It then warns me not to use Frontpage
to publish the files. I was under the impression that you could not
use both FTP and FP Publishing tool on the same website. Will it harm
my current website if I FTP to it?

You shouldn't have a problem with FrontPage 2003.
If you are using anything else put the forum in a subweb
then use ftp to upload. After uploading set the the subweb
folder files to don't publish by right clicking them an
selecting "don't publish".

Hi Doran,

Snitz along with many other asp based forums warn about using FrontPage to
upload..but I have never had a problem by simply unzipping the files and
folders on my harddrive..and then opening the live web..and importing those
same files and folders.
