Soft Page Break

Need Help

How do you disable or work around the soft page break? I
have created a document where the first page is exactly 1
page. It is a set of four custom labels. However, I do
not want Word to create a second page automatically. Is
this possible?

Thanks for any help

Presumably the labels are set up as a table. Word insists on having an empty
paragraph at the end of a document after a table to hold the document-level
formatting. You can't get rid of the paragraph, but you can force it to the
first page. Sometimes it is sufficient to make it very small (1 pt); if even
that doesn't work, select it and format it as Hidden.

Your problem is that Word needs to have a paragraph after any table. Labels
are a table.

Press Ctrl-* to show paragraph marks. Select the last paragraph mark on the
page and try formatting it for a font size of 1. If that doesn't do it, try
Format => Paragraph and make sure that the space before and space after for
that paragraph are set to 0. If that doesn't do it, try changing the bottom
margin on your page.
