There are two ways for Office programs to get onto your machine.
1) CD - Go to a brick and mortar type store and buy a copy of Office. Make
sure it is the right version for your needs and that it will work on your
system (read the box).
2) Phone dial-up/cable modem/DSL - Trial versions can be downloaded over the
internet, but the files a kinda huge. If you are using dialup (slowest), it
will take a very long time.
So, if you connect to the internet via a dial-up phone line, the CD option
is probably your best bet.
