Like Henk (see thread 7 Feb 2004), when I tried to reinstall Office 2003 Pro and then BCM, I got error messages like 'Setup failed to configure server. Refer to the server
error logs and setup error logs for more info'
I found this response from Sue Mosher to be the one that worked for me first time

Look for the folder \Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$MicrosoftBCM and delete it if you find it. Then rerun setup.
Simple as that - easy if you knew where to look; shame the error message is so cryptic MS....
