Solution for problem "operation failed when hit send/receive"

Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
Double-click the Mail icon.
In the Mail Setup dialog box, click Show Profiles.
Choose your profile and cklick "copy"
type an new name and proceed
choose at the end of this dialog box your new profile.
