Solving an equation in a cell

I have an excel spreadsheet that has a list of numbers
that are 55% of a total that is unknown. Is there a way
I can create a formula to figure out the total in a cell?

Example:

26 - 55% of total

My equation is:

..55 * x = 26

I need to solve for x.

Is there a way to solve this in a cell?
