Some cube measures missing

Paul

Hi, I have successfully built cubes in PS 2007, when I set up a view i notice
the default cubes of issues, risks and deliverbles do not appear on the drop
down list. I opened the database and notices the cubes wernt listed in
analysis server database. Also I noticed in the demensions that Project list
is not available. I do not seem to have any errors occuring and have a fairly
standard install. I have not seen this issue with any other installs and was
hoping someone may know why its occuring. Thanks Paul

Hi Paul
Kindly follow these steps
Log onto PWA as admin
Click on server settings
Under Cube select Configuration
Now select relevant dimensions, measures and calculated measures that need
to be visible in the field list

Hope this helps

Hi Manmeet Chaudhari,

Thanks for responding to my question.

I have added all of the available measures and have compared it with the VM
that was released last week. The issues risks and deliverables are not
available as choices to add. If I examine the database they are not in the
cube. I haev reinstaled Analysis services and still have the same issues. I
am at a loss as to how they are not available as they are standard out of the
box measures.

Thanks Paul

Paul - Where did you find the VM download for Project Server 07? A
link to
it would be very helpful.

Thanks!

I had a similar question - it could be the same one. To see all the measures
and dimensions for issues, make sure you (1) add an issue to a project (I'm
sure you have done that) and (2) either republish the project or resync the
project workspace with Project Server. Either one of these moves the Issues
data into the Reporting database from which the cubes are built. The first
time you do these steps, all of the expected measures and dimensions will
appear.

Legendsfan you nailed it. Fixed it up immediately i added risks etc. This was
the 1st time I had done set up views without having actual projects inside.
As far as the VM goes its available for partners from the extranet site, you
contact the project team for access.

Thanks

paul
