Some features lost????

You know guys?? The best breaktrough of Office 2003 version, was the most
greatest, intensive and most inportant, graphics support. It was so great to
resize, edit, move, etc a graphic, and WordArt.

Whatever that happened on Office 2007, because my copy sucks totally at
graphics support. I can't see the graphic I inserted, I can't do wrapping on
it, I can't set any properties on the graphic, and the worse, I CAN'T RESIZE
the graphic. I just can't do what I could do in 2003 for 2007. Is this
probably a Beta issue?? Or just Microsoft decided to drop the best feature
that was available on 2003??

Any concerns or comments on this will be appreciated.

Thank you for all.

Thank you for your reading, and time to do so. I am refering to Word 2007,
and I just found out that I have to double click the image that word is not
displaying correctly to open Microsoft Word Picture. After I do that, I can
do whatever I want to the graphic such as resize, set wrapping, set wrap
points, bring it foward, put a border, ect. But I think it is a bug that the
application displays a white box on the graphic, instead of the image the
graphic has.

This version of Office is definetely harder on the advanced users due to the
re-arrangement of actions and properties.

Thank you very kindly.

Not sure which app you're referring to (sounds like Word, maybe), but I'd
start by changing hardware acceleration.

I'm glad you found something that works for you, but I think the
double-click issue you're seeing is a display issue. I am able to set
wrapping, resize (using height/width on the ribbon and by dragging the
corner of the pix itself and by using the size dialog), add a border, etc,
with no problems.

When I first add a picture, the Picture Tools Format ribbon shows up
automatically. If I've navigated away from that ribbon, sometimes I have to
double-click the picture next time I select it in order for the Picture
Tools Format ribbon to be activated. (Whether I have to do this or not
depends what I've selected or done in the interim.) But at least the Picture
Tools Format tab appears when I single-click the image after having
navigated away from that ribbon.

So you might still try the hardware acceleration thing, because a white box
isn't right. But I don't see the same thing here and I haven't heard
widespread reports of this behavior, so I really think it's just a display
issue on your end.

It takes time to get used to it. Took me about a month. The UI is
targeted at novice users, so power users will struggle with it, even
after having gotten used to it.

Oh well, I definetely have something wrong with my Beta copy of 2007 Pro
Plus. Now I can't add any graphics, my pc crashes. I can't even get to Word
Picture anymore by double clicking the graphic. I tried lowering all of the
hardware accelerations (eg. sound, video, ect.) and still no go.

I just don't care anymore about testing this beta thing. If this is what
Microsoft had in mind by testing the software on users, (well I know a beta
will have some sort of problems, but give me a break!!!)

I will uninstall the 2007 Beta and go back to 2003 until the new Office
system has its one year aniversary. Then I will decide to buy it or not.

Microsoft gave you a preview version, not one to beta test. It gave you
a chance to see the new Office before it is released. Your fault for
installing it...
