Hi,

I have four ordinary messages (no attachments) to Entourage NG that won't
send. Other msgs to Entourage ng will send. For instance, one that won't
has 2198 characters with spaces. I get two error descriptions:

1. An unknown error (4363) has occurred.
Explanation: Could not post this article
Account name: "Microsoft News Server"

2. MAIL COULD NOT BE SENT
The server for account "Schooner" returned the error 'authorization failed
(#5.7.0)" Your username /password or security settings may bed incorrect.
Would you likie to try re-entering your password?
No Yes

Schooner is account name
(e-mail address removed)
Personal info: Rafael Montsserrat
emai address (e-mail address removed)
Account address raf44ael98
SMTP Servver: smtp.att.yahoo.com

Should this false, send only account have a password?

Rafael

See. This one sent with no error msgs, and no password in "Edit account".
Also, sporadically, with NG send only msgs., I am asked for a telephone#,
when none of these DSL accounts ( I have 3 including the ng false) have
telephone numbers.

Entourage 11.3.2

You need to update!!!! This might fix a lot of your problems.

Mactopia Downloads
<http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.aspx>

You need to get these updaters:

11.3.5 combo
11.3.6 requires 11.3.5 to be installed
11.3.7 requires 11.3.6 to be installed
11.3.8 requires 11.3.7 to be installed
1. An unknown error (4363) has occurred.
Explanation: Could not post this article
Account name: "Microsoft News Server"

Error 4363

4363 "Unknown Error"

If you get error 4363 on a transmission attempt, and you have one or more
attachments, try deleting and re-attaching the file or files.

If the attachment is embedded in an html message it might get through, but
attachments aren't normally allowed on newsgroups.

Installing:
11.3.5
11.3.6
11.3.7
11.3.8
Says it takes about 8 hours with a 56K modem

The mactopia downloads url you give above says: "Quit any applications that
are running, including all Office applications, Microsoft Messenger, and
Office Notifications, because they might interfere with installation"

Does that mean I'm down and can't use Word, Entourage & Safari for that
long? Can't right now if so. Must be something to do at night.

I don't know what size modem I have for DSL 5100 SpeedStream modem from AT&T
Here's what it says in System Profiler
Modem Information:
Modem Model: Jump
Interface Type: I2S
Modulation: V.92
Hardware Version: Version 1.0
Driver: MotorolaSM56K.kext (v1.3.4)
Country: B5 (United States, Latin America)

For big downloads I would find a local coffee shop with a fast connection
and download there. It's been years since I had to use a modem and the
abominably slow speeds for large downloads. My sympathies.

While you are downloading you can do anything you want. You want to quit
those applications while you are upgrading.
