Some pages of publisher do not get printed with MS PDF

For a group I publish a quarterly with six A4 sheets. Each sheet has two columns. After preparing the matter I print it with MS PDF. However, some sheets are not printed flashing "PUblisher cannot complete the operation" message. Can't find out the reasons for this. Would be helpful if the issues preventing the completion of the operation are also displayed. Any advice would be welcome.
