I have been having a problem with my computer selecting more text than I want
to be highlighted when I am getting ready to make a format change. I think
this happens as a result of holding down an arrow key too long?? The problem
is I can't figure out how to turn it off so I am in control of the text that
is selected.

This is an ACCESS database newsgroup. Are you using the application,
Microsoft Access?

Yes, I am entering information in a memo box that I created on a form.
Everything is fine and I am typing right along but I apparently somehow turn
on this feature that highlights a section of text when I click in one place
instead of just putting the cursor there and allowing me to use the arrow
keys to highlight just what I want. I am trying to insert a word in to the
text but this highlighting problem results in my having to delete what the
computer highlights and retype everything.
