Can anyone help me? I am trying to sort a table with titles "Song Title,
Song # and Artist" on each page - it is a karaoke list - I want to sort the
song titles but the titles get included in the sort - how do I sort the list
without having the headings (Song title, song #, etc.) being included in the
sort & placed under the "S"

Need help - thank you in advance.

Select the range
From menu Data>Sort
Select 'My data range has' Headers
Select Sort by> select the header name
Select ascending/Descending and then OK.

I tried that Jacob and it puts the headings in the sort even when I check the
box that says "data has headers".

This is what I have:
Song Title Song # Artist
It's Not unusual 025 05 Cher

I select the whole range (including the header: song title, song # & artist)
to point I want to sort ( I have several pages with the headings of song
title song # & artist on top of each page) check box that my data has headers
& select the sort ascending. It puts the heading (Song Title, song # &
artist) under the S - with several pages of list of songs with titles
(headers) on each page it sorts the songs but takes the headings & places
them all under the "S" so all the headings are placed together in one spot
and not on top of each page like I want them to be - I hope you can
understand what I am trying to say. It does the sort but takes the headers
with it even though I check the box saying I have headers. Any suggestions.
Tks.

Make sure you only include the last row of headers in your selection.

Or

Select just the data range and tell excel that your selection to sort does not
contain headers.

======
You may want to start using exactly one row for headers. If you have lots of
text for headers, you can force new lines within the cell by hitting alt-enter.
