Sort by Object Description 2007

Jessica

I've read previous posts about sorting the objects in 2007, but I can not
seem to find a way to sort by the description field. I have frequently used
this sort in the older versions of access and would like to do it in the new
version. Is this possible or has this function been taken away?

Along those lines, when I view my objects in detail mode, it shows all the
descriptions beneath the object...is there a way to display it going across
the window like previous versions have done?

Hi Jessica,
Is this possible or has this function been taken away?

I think the ability to sort by description has been taken away, but I'm not
positive. I haven't used Access 2007 long enough yet to know for sure.

have done?

Access MVP Gunter Avenius has set up the A03 DB window as COM Add-In for
A07. This has just been translated from German into English, over this past
weekend. You can download a copy from here:

Thanks for that website. I downloaded the add-in and it seems to work
beautifully. I hope that Microsoft will add back in that feature though in
future updates...I know many people that used the description to sort by and
were highly aggravated that they no longer could in 2007.

Jessica, I just started using 2007. I had the very same issue. I hope our
IT staff will be allowed to load the add-in for our organization. Let me
know if you have any problems with it. I use the DESCRIPTION field to record
queries which need to be performed in a sequence when I do not want to bother
with Macros.
Sally.
