Sort table holding one column constant

I have created a table, where each row is numbered. How can I sort this
table by various columns, holding the numbered column constant?

Select the columns you want to sort (Do not select the column with the
numbers in it)
On the Table menu, click Sort.
Select the sort options you want (e.g. Column2 then Column 3 etc)
Click Options button
Select the Sort column only check box
