Sorting and Inserting into another project

Hi All,

I have received a project plan that I sorted start date.
This randomised the ID field i.e. it was no longer in
number order. However the plan is now following in a
logical order in terms of timescales.

However, when I insert the project into another project it
applies the ID's numbers in a logical order and therefore
the plan reverts back to its original unscheduled format.

How can I overcome this? I would appreciate any guidance
the group can offer.

Regards,
Hardip

Hello Hardip,

Have you tried the option "Permanently renumber tasks" in Project / Sort /
Sort by... dialog ?

Hope this helps,
