sorting by a certain column

John Phillips

Hi all.
I have a spreadsheet where the top row is the label for
each column. I want to sort the sheet by the contents of
column C. I can not seem to get it to ignore the top row.
How to I get Excel to sort everything but leave Row 1 as
the labels?
Thanks in advance!
John

You select the range you want to sort right? Does it give you the option
that your range includes a header row or not. Try checking the box next to
that and watch what happens to the highlighting of the range that will be
sorted.
