sorting by date

Hi,

I just want to sort my data by date, - i use it for our petty cash an
invoices and I'm sick of having to sort them out into date order firs
- and wait till end of month.

I feel like I am missing something VERY obvious :confused:

Give a little more information about your spreadsheet layout. Excel ha
great sorting abilities, but we need to know more about what the dat
looks like on your sheet in order to help you

It may depend on the layout of your data, but if you have you data organized
in Columns, you should be able to just Click the Sort Ascending Button or
Sort Descending Button AFTER you click on one of your dates.
Sort Ascending looks like a Blue A over a Red Z.
Alternativley, you can go to the Data Menu and choose sort.

If your dates are actual dates and not text entries that look like dates,
this should work just fine.
